### About Us

MJMK was founded in 2013 by Jake Kasumov and Marco Mendes. Following corporate careers, Jake and Marco decided to pursue their passion for food and drink. They built a team of passionate individuals to work alongside them, bringing to market a collection of award-winning restaurants with heart and soul.

Launching our much-loved Southern Portuguese concept, Casa do Frango, in London Bridge in 2018, we have since opened Casa do Frango Mayfair and Casa do Frango Victoria.  

In 2020, we opened KOL in Marylebone with nomad Mexican chef Santiago Lastra. It has evolved into a Michelin Star restaurant, with one of the World’s Best Bars, KOL Mezcaleria, downstairs ,and listed at number 23 on the World's 50 Best Restaurant. In Spring 2022, we partnered with critically acclaimed Portuguese chef Nuno Mendes, to open Lisboeta, a Portuguese restaurant on Charlotte Street, Nuno’s love letter to the city he calls home.

At MJMK, we seek to celebrate culture and heritage, great food and drink, and authentic atmospheres. As such, all of our restaurants are inspired either by Jake and Marco’s personal backgrounds or by those of the chef partners we work with.

We are beyond thrilled to have opened the long-awaited and critically acclaimed AngloThai, in partnership with John and Desiree Chantarasak, in central London. In an incredible achievement, just a few months after opening, we were awarded a Michelin star — a testament to the passion, talent, and dedication of our team. We couldn’t be prouder! John draws influences from both sides of his Thai and British heritage to create dishes inspired by the eclectic cuisine of Thailand, while utilising the abundance of world class ingredients found within the British Isles. An alumnus from celebrated Thai restaurants Som Saa (London) and Nahm (Bangkok), John has spent the last decade honing his craft to bring this unique and exciting concept to the London dining scene. Desiree looks to her relationships with sustainably focused, small batch wine producers in Europe to complement the food at AngloThai, with many wines celebrating the craftsmanship and passion of a new generation of exciting wine growers. Well crafted, ethically minded and deeply delicious wines are the focus at AngloThai. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Guest Relations Manager to lead and inspire our team, run a seamless service and create magical moments for our guests. We want our service to be approachable, fun and consistent whilst always ensuring high standards are met. A love for hospitality and a strong attention to detail is a must with a desire to grow and develop within MJMK restaurants. A Guest Relations Manager at AngloThai is: . A hands-on, natural leader who can support the General Manager and curate the guest experience offering in the restaurant, leading the reservations team so they are operating in the best way possible to offer an excellent restaurant experience.. A strong communicator with all departments regarding to reservations and events in our Baan ensuring all guests receive the best possible experience through genuine hospitality.. Able to work with integrity, generosity, and excellent attention to detail for people &amp; product.. Passionate and knowledgeable about food, wine, and hospitality and able to exceed guests’ expectations.. A champion of our values and ethos, motivating the team to be always working to a ‘Best in Class’ level.. Confident in building new and nurturing established relationships with guests and stakeholders wishing to connect with AngloThai and the brand.. Experienced in dealing with guest feedback and the relevant platforms.. Commercially aware and able to proactively drive new sales opportunities as well as being the first point of contact for all bookings, events and enquiries.. Working closely with the General Manager to manage forecasting, covers, events and optimising the restaurant capacity and experience. As a Guest Relations Manager at AngloThai, we’ll offer you: · Up to £45,000, subject to experience· 50% discount across all MJMK restaurants· 28 days holidays, including Bank Holidays· Opportunity to develop your career with MJMK as we expand.· Mental health and well-being assistance with Hospitality Action who can offer free advice and counselling if you’re struggling at work or at home.· Enhanced maternity and paternity pay after your first year with us.· An enhanced pension plan and the opportunity to take a sabbatical for a month, with two weeks paid by MJMK, after you’ve worked with us for 5 years.
