KOL is the first restaurant from critically acclaimed Chef Patron Santiago Lastra. Championing seasonality, sustainability, and an appreciation for wild food, KOL’s menu overlays the techniques and heritage of Mexican cuisine with the landscape of Britain.
Since its mid-pandemic opening in 2020, KOL has been recognised internationally as one of London’s best restaurants, receiving accolades from the World’s 50 Best, Europe’s La Liste, the National Restaurant Awards and GQ. KOL was awarded one Michelin Star in 2022 and recently recently placed at number 23 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.
The ground floor of KOL boasts one of London’s most impressive dining rooms. A spiral staircase leads downstairs to the KOL Mezcaleria and the Chef’s Table, a space inspired by the grand houses of Oaxaca, complete with its own private kitchen. The latter is available for groups and private events.
The KOL Mezcaleria is a special bar dedicated to the exploration of agave spirits. Cocktails are crafted with wild, seasonal ingredients sourced from the British Isles, and paired with Santiago’s interpretation of traditional Mexican street foods, or ‘antojitos’. The KOL Mezcaleria recently received recognition as the 54th Best Bar in the World.
