MJMK was founded in 2013 by Jake Kasumov and Marco Mendes. Following corporate careers, Jake and Marco decided to pursue their passion for food and drink. They built a team of passionate individuals to work alongside them, bringing to market a collection of award-winning restaurants with heart and soul.
Launching our much-loved Southern Portuguese concept, Casa do Frango, in London Bridge in 2018, we have since opened Casa do Frango Piccadilly and Casa do Frango Victoria.
In 2020, we opened KOL in Marylebone with nomad Mexican chef Santiago Lastra. It has evolved into a Michelin Star restaurant, with one of the World’s Best Bars, KOL Mezcaleria, downstairs ,and listed at number 23 on the World's 50 Best Restaurant. In Spring 2022, we partnered with critically acclaimed Portuguese chef Nuno Mendes, to open Lisboeta, a Portuguese restaurant on Charlotte Street, Nuno’s love letter to the city he calls home.
At MJMK, we seek to celebrate culture and heritage, great food and drink, and authentic atmospheres. As such, all of our restaurants are inspired either by Jake and Marco’s personal backgrounds or by those of the chef partners we work with.
