Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Maitre D’ or Senior Receptionist in a high-volume, hospitality-focused environment
  • A natural host with a warm and welcoming presence who makes every guest feel valued
  • Confident managing dining room ambience, including lighting, music, and temperature, to create the perfect atmosphere
  • Acts as the bridge between the front of house, kitchen, and guests to ensure seamless service
  • Comfortable working on the floor and managing the booking system during service to optimise covers and walk-in opportunities
  • Experience handling reservations in person, over the phone, and online with professionalism and efficiency
  • Brings the spirit of the restaurant to life in every interaction, championing our vibrant Portuguese energy
  • Goes the extra mile to deliver generous, thoughtful hospitality for all our guests
  • A team player who supports and collaborates with the wider team to ensure smooth operations and memorable service
  • Able to lead by example and inspire a team with positivity, care, and attention to detail
  • Skilled in managing guest feedback and handling special requests and VIP experiences
  • Able to oversee the dining room throughout service, keeping everything running smoothly
  • Keeps the dining room in top condition, always service-ready and well-presented
  • Always brings a positive attitude and focus on creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for guests and team alike

With 1500 guests visiting us each week, our 125-cover dining space, 100-cover speakeasy cocktail bar, two private dining room and summer terrace are always buzzing.

About MJMK Restaurants


MJMK Restaurants own and operate a collection of award-winning restaurants. Founded in 2018 by lifelong friends Jake Kasumov and Marco Mendes, our journey began with Casa do Frango inspired by Marco’s Portuguese heritage.. In 2020, we partnered with chef Santiago Lastra to open KO, fine dining restaurant in Marylebone celebrating Mexican cuisine with British ingredients. KOL has since earned a Michelin Star and was named No. 17 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.


In 2022, we launched Lisboeta , premium Lisbon-inspire restaurant in Fitsrovia with renowned Portuguese chef Nuno Mendes. 2024 saw two new ventures: Fonda, a contemporary Mexican concept on Heddon Street—our second collaboration with KOL Chef Patron, Santiago—and AngloThai in Marylebone, a debut restaurant from the brilliant chef John Chantarasak, blending Thai flavours with British ingredients. Within three months, AngloThai earned a Michelin star.
