Assistant Head Sommelier

As KOL continues its success, we’re looking for an Assistant Head Sommelier to join the team, who will support the seamless running of service by providing a highly efficient and effective service, ensuring standards are maintained.
As an Assistant Head Sommelier at KOL, we can offer you:
· Up to £45K per annum, dependent on your experience, inclusive of service charge.

Your responsibilities as Assistant Head Sommelier will include:
· Collaborating with the Head Sommelier in maintaining and updating the restaurant's wine list
· Working in service for lunch, dinner and private events.
· Inspiring, training and empowering the FOH team to pair and sell wine confidently.
· Developing relationships with wine suppliers
· Assisting the Head Sommelier with wine inventory, ordering and cellar management
· Ensuring that guests receive best in class wine service that enhances their experience
· Taking responsibility for the development of Junior Sommeliers and mentoring them
· Improving the restaurant beverage offering across spirits, softs, and wines
· Working closely with R&D department to develop understanding of fermentation and ingredients
