A Lisboeta Head Chef is:

  • Passionate about creating the best guest experience possible during service.
  • An inspiring leader, confident in developing, training, and motivating a kitchen team.
  • Confident working with fresh ingredients and supporting the creation and implementation of seasonal, imaginative dishes.
  • Committed to quality, consistency, and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
  • Organised and efficient in managing kitchen operations, including ordering, food safety, and maintenance reporting.
  • Skilled in managing P&L, labour and food costs, and invoice accuracy.
  • A strong communicator who works collaboratively with FOH, the Chef Patron, and wider leadership team.
  • Proactive in resolving issues, upholding company HR standards, and supporting team morale.
  • Able to use systems like Marketman and Check365, and keep on top of all BOH administration.
  • Focused on succession planning and empowering the next generation of chefs


Expected salary:

  • £60K - £70K salary package, dependent on your experience.

About Lisboeta:

Part of the MJMK group, Lisboeta, literally meaning ‘a person from Lisbon’, celebrates the lifestyle, tradition, and emotion of belonging. The restaurant is Chef Patron Nuno Mendes’ love letter to Lisbon, the city he grew up in and the place he calls home. We opened Lisboeta in the Spring of 2022 to critical acclaim and as the restaurant continues its success, we’re looking for a Head Chef to join the team, who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen operation whilst supervising and developing the team.
